I think everyone with an author bio starts the 'About' section off with an anecdote about how they have always loved writing or have been telling stories since they learned how to speak or have always dreamed of putting down into words the book idea that has been percolating on the edges of their conscious mind for eons.

I did not begin by wanting to write a book, if I am honest. Reading others' works was more my speed for most of my life, apart from participating in a little collaborative written roleplay here and there. I didn't consider writing a novel until I was well into my fourth decade of life, and only then because my mother pestered me until an idea was able to take root in earnest - the plot for what will someday become my debut novel.
..but that's a story for another time. Just know that I am 34, female, and occasionally funny. That's it - that's the bio.
